Associate Attorney Kerstin Zimmermann
Attorney Zimmermann has dedicated her entire career to criminal defense. Before joining the Musca Law Firm, she worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the 12th Judicial Circuit with a caseload of over 300 clients. Attorney Zimmermann has extensive trial experience having been lead counsel and second chair at many trials ranging from minor traffic offenses to batteries, violations of injunctions, and drug crimes. She has obtained many favorable results for her clients, including a dismissal of the Violation of Probation warrant, a not guilty verdict, and the dismissal of charges.
Attorney Zimmermann knew early on that she wanted to devote her career to criminal law. She graduated from the Michigan State University College of Law summa cum laude with a Concentration in Criminal Law. While in law school she represented her school at the Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition for two years. Furthermore, she interned at the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender for nearly 3 years while in law school. As an intern she represented clients in misdemeanor and felony cases from arraignment through sentencing.
Attorney Zimmermann is fluent in German and English and will do everything she can to make sure you completely understand what is going on with your case. She can explain the details of your case in German and make it more comfortable and easier for you to explain your side and to understand the process.
