Jackson Hilliard began practicing law in 2007. He began working for the Public Defender’s of Florida as a criminal defense attorney for five years. While there, he represented thousands of clients who were charged with everything from DUI to capital charges. In 2011, Mr. Hilliard became a private criminal defense attorney and continues to practice criminal law today. Jackson graduated from Stetson University College of Law St. Petersburg, Florida in December of 2006.
Over the years, Mr. Hilliard has received extensive DUI training. He has attended the NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Exercise certification course. He has taken several classes in advance DUI law at Harvard University through the National College of DUI Defense. Mr. Hilliard is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Hilliard has appeared several times locally on Fox-13 Ask-A-Lawyer segments where he has given general legal advice on a range of criminal law topics.
Mr. Hilliard is an avid marathon runner and amateur photographer. In his free time, he volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and spends time with his family.
