Kris became a member of the Florida Bar in 2008 and is a graduate of Marshall University and Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was a member if its award-winning moot court team. After graduation, Kris worked as a staff attorney for the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and assisted with domestic violence victims in securing domestic violence injuctions.
Kris was a former Assistant State Attorney with Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit. As a State prosecutor, Kris tried over 40 jury trials, hundreds of evidentiary motions, and a handful of appeals. Kris prosecuted cases in a number of felony and misdemeanors areas including, but not limited to: domestic violence, sex crimes, fraud, drug possession and drug trafficking. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Kris relocated to the metro Washington, DC, area where he was hired as corporate counsel for a large information technology firm. He was admitted to practice in Virginia and managed all of the companies outside litigation, drafted contracts, with partners and clients, and handled all areas of government compliance.
After relocating to Florida in 2014, Kris has focused his practice primarily on criminal defense and civil injunctions.
