Prior to becoming a lawyer, Lynn Martin obtained a Bachelor of Arts in
Communications from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in 1985. Following several professional positions with a television and radio station in Savannah, GA as a news reporter and producer, and as a media coordinator with a major hospital in Jacksonville, FL, Lynn Martin gained extensive experience working with State and Federal law enforcement agencies as a Fraud Investigator with AT&T Universal Credit Card Services. For seven years Ms. Martin worked hundreds of true name and counterfeit credit card cases and prepared them for prosecution by the FBI., U.S. Secret Service, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Additionally, due to Ms. Martin’s superior analytical skills, she was asked to join a special task force to review data and identify fraud trends, fraud rings and cells nationwide, and to provide this information to law enforcement, other credit issuers, as well as credit bureau agencies. She also participated in creating the fraud logic for the company’s fraud application processing system. During her years at AT&T she worked with the corporate attorneys preparing cases and received several awards for her dedication and work with the fraud department. The experience gained as a fraud investigator has given her a unique perspective and inside knowledge on how these cases are investigated, and in turn places the cases she handles today in line for the opportunity to achieve a more favorable result.
After leaving AT&T, Ms. Martin obtained her paralegal degree from Florida State
College of Jacksonville, earning several Dean’s and President’s List recognition
certificates, and after graduation, worked for both a criminal defense firm and a civil litigation firm for several years. After working a complex civil case for a civil firm and helping to obtain a large settlement for the clients, Ms. Martin entered law school at the Florida Coastal School of Law, earning a Dean’s Scholarship, Dean’s List recognition, and graduating in the top 15% of her class in 2003. Ms. Martin had worked for several criminal defense firms before opening her own firm in 2005. She is a zealous, tenacious and passionate advocate for her clients, and has represented hundreds of cases in her career, from DUI’s to double homicide, and has done so in the state and federal courts in both Florida and Georgia. She uses her attention for detail and superior investigative skills on every case to provide the best results for her clients. She has taken cases from the beginning of the case, to trial, and at times, all the waythrough an appeal in both the criminal and civil arena. She has litigated 100's of hearings and tried cases before a jury as well as bench trials before a Judge.
Ms Martin treats all of her clients with respect, empathy and professionalism and
will work tirelessly to get the optimum results for each of them. She has received letters and calls from former clients showing their appreciation for her work in their cases.
