Pensacola, FL – Man Arrested After Punching Pregnant Woman in Face

Pensacola, FL (February 26, 2019) – Police arrested a man from Pensacola after he was accused of punching a woman who was pregnant with twins in the face. Police identified the man as 32-year-old Joseph Jones.

The incident happened on Saturday after he got into an altercation with multiple people. After a fight broke out, Jones approached the victim so that they could talk. However, upon doing so, he became agitated and punched her in the face so hard that she fell unconscious.

There were multiple witnesses who saw the assault take place. One said that he “hauled off and hit her like a man, knocking her cold.” When police confronted Jones about it, he denied punching the victim. He had a laceration on his face but was not able to tell police how it happened.

Jones was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and then to the Escambia County Jail.
