Orlando Violent CrimesRobbery with a deadly weapon is one of the most serious Florida violent crimes that a person can face. This crime is defined by the unlawful taking or threat of taking property through force with the use of a deadly weapon. A deadly weapon is a gun, knife, or any other type of weapon that would tend to inflict serious bodily harm when used. The weapon does not actually have to be used to cause injury, but its threatened use is enough to complete the crime. Robbery with a deadly weapon is a first-degree felony and can be punishable by a lengthy prison term as well as obtaining status as a convicted felon.
