Jonathan was raised in Homestead, Florida by a single immigrant mother from Dominican Republic. His mother instilled in him the values of hard work, education, and service. As a result, Jonathan is committed to service and education. In keeping with that commitment, Jonathan is serving as a pastor at his church, The Brook Miami. This has also led him to conduct free legal clinics in his community in various practice areas such as immigration and real estate.
Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University and Michigan State University College of Law and was admitted to the Florida bar in 2016. After graduation, he began his career in private practice handling immigration and civil cases. During his time in law school, Jonathan was a member of the Hispanic Law Student Association, the Black Law Student Association, and a founder of a nonprofit dedicated to providing education and grooming services to the homeless population in Lansing, Michigan.
