Miami Gardens, FL (November 13, 2018) – This week, a Miami Gardens man was arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse after he beat his girlfriend’s son while she was at work. The 22-month old had severe signs of abuse.

The victim’s mother left him in the care of her boyfriend, 23-year-old Quindel Antwan Pigatt. Pigatt called his girlfriend while she was at work and told her that her son had fallen from a step but was going to be okay. When the woman got home after leaving early to check on her son, she found her son in severe distress with a bump on his left hip.

The mother took her child to the emergency room and he was then transferred to another hospital. A CT scan was conducted, where it was determined that the child suffered eight fractured ribs and internal bleeding in his chest. He suffered a lacerated liver and a variety of other injuries as well.
