According to the Tampa Bay Times: David A. West, a 56-Year-Old Clearwater man, was arrested and charged with sexual battery of a 17-year-old and with possession of cocaine. West works for the D&D Auto Center on Overbrook Avenue as a used car dealer.
The Story
According to police reports, a few months ago, a 17-year-old boy met with West looking to purchase a used car. West later called the boy on a Saturday, picked him up, and drove him to his home (at the same location as the car dealership on Overbrook). While there, West made the bo take off his clothes and sexually assaulted him. West was arrested at 1:30 a.m. the next Sunday morning where detectives found a bag of powder in his pocket. West confirmed it was cocaine. David A. West is currently being held on a $52,000 bond at the Pinellas County Jail and is charged with sexual battery of a 17-year-old and with possession of cocaine.
