JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL (Duval County)- According to an arrest report on firstcoastnews.com, a man was arrested after police found the man in possession of illegal drugs, several weapons, a stolen gun, thousands of dollars in cash, and an armored vest. 

A Jacksonville Beach man whose house was purportedly targeted in a home invasion robbery back in September is now facing criminal charges again. According to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, law enforcement officers found drugs, firearms, and an armored vest in his possession and then placed the man under arrest on January 15, 2021.  

The arrest report states that the Jacksonville Beach Police, along with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, began searching for the suspect after an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear on a criminal charge. The criminal charge filed was for "carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony," according to police.

The suspect was discovered at his residence in Jacksonville Beach and he was arrested, according to police. During the suspect's arreat, law enforcement officers noticed illegal drugs and weapons were in plain sight. The officers then obtained a search warrant for the suspect's house. 

During the search of the suspect's house, the Jacksonville Beach police found psilocybin mushrooms, 3.5 pounds of marijuana, promethazine with codeine, and more than $10,000 in cash. Jacksonville Beach police also found three firearms, two AR-15s, and one shotgun. One of the guns was stolen. The officers also found over a thousand rounds of ammunition and an armored vest. 

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Duval County Jail. Last September, the suspect's house was purportedly targeted in a home invasion robbery. The incident ended with one man shot dead in the suspect's front lawn, according to police. There are no current charges have been filed in that case.
