GAINESVILLE, FL - September 14, 2020 - According to an online news report from Gainesville.com, a naked 39-year-old man was arrested after Dollar General store employees called the Alachua County Sherriff's Office. Employees at the Dollar General located off of Archer Road contacted law enforcement on Thursday after noticing a man acting suspiciously in the back of the Dollar General store.

According to the 39-year-old man's arrest report, two women working at the Dollar General phoned the Dollar General contacted Alachua County Sherriff's Department at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night. The women stated to law enforcement that they had a man inside the store "lurking" both outside and inside the Dollar General store. The women also told the law enforcement officers that the man was also staring in such a way that the two women felt very uncomfortable. When Alachua County Sherriff's deputies arrived at the Dollar General, the arrest report alleges that the Alachua County Sherriff's deputies located the suspect, and the man was naked and hiding in a room that was marked with a sign stating "employees only."

Alachua County Sheriff's Sergeant Frank Kinsey stated that the nake suspect would not face an additional charge of indecent exposure since no one at the scene saw the man naked. The man's arrest report quotes the named man for stating that he was "sexually frustrated, and the store employees had offered to have sex with him." The two female store employees vehemently denied making the alleged statements to the perpetrator. At the time of the suspect's arrest, the Alachua County Sheriff's deputies wrote in the suspect's arrest report that the suspect stated to them that he intended to expose himself to the female store employees.

The 39-year-old suspect was arrested, booked, and charged with second-degree loitering. The suspect was booked into the Alachua County Jail. The suspect was given the opportunity to bond out as his bail bond was set at $2,000 the following morning.

According to the Levy County Sheriff's Office, the suspect was arrested and in a suspect in a separate indecent exposure disturbance that involved another woman. That incident occurred on that same Thursday. According to the Levy County Sheriff's Office officials, a male suspect who they determined to be the same suspect was allegedly following a woman and her kids in a Toyota pickup truck. At the moment the two motor vehicles came to a stop near Northwest 60th Street, the suspect got out of his Toyota pickup truck. The man was naked, and he began to make sexual gesticulations toward the woman and in front of her children who were looking from the back seat of her car. The woman drove off and then called her husband to drive behind and follow her car.

The three motor vehicles then came to a stop along the roadway once again. Just as in the initial incident, the naked man exited his white Toyota pickup truck, and then the suspect fled the scene when the woman's husband appeared and confronted the man.

The Levy County Sheriff's Office stated that law enforcement officials would submit a sworn accusation with the Florida State Attorney's Office charging the suspect with both aggravated assault with a motor vehicle and indecent exposure. They advised residents to avoid contact with him.
