Naples, Florida – A news report published on naplesnews.com states that a man from Naples was arrested last Thursday. According to the news and the Collier County Sheriff's Office arrest report, the suspect was found in possession of hundreds of child pornography images.
The 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged with 100 counts of possession of photos "depicting sexual acts performed by a child, and "one count of promoting a movie or a photo of sexual acts performed by a child."
Collier County Sheriff's Office Deputies received a cyber chip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip stated that there was possible uploading of approximately 14 child pornography images from the suspect's "Kik "messaging account.
Law enforcement agents conducted an investigation into the I.P. address is and the suspect's Kik Account. The Collier County Sheriff's Office Deputies noted that there were some of the crimes committed at the suspect's home located in the 1300 block of Wildwood Lakes Boulevard. Collier County sheriffs deputies then executed a search warrant on the suspect's residence and then discovered hundreds of files depicting children ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old who are engaging in sexual activity on the suspect's phone.
The suspect was then taken into police custody and is currently at the Naples Jail Center. According to the news report, there was not much information provided about the man's bond or his next hearing date.
