Palm Harbor, FL (November 20, 2018) – In Palm Harbor, a Florida high school teacher recorded a student undressing in a classroom closet and is now facing voyeurism charges.

The man has been identified as 38-year-old Thomas John Kovack, a teacher at the Kivay High School. The girl spoke with deputies and said that she was in the middle of changing her shirt for a yearbook photo. She went to the classroom closet to change when she noticed an iPhone with a red case videotaping her. She watched the video, deleted it, and left the phone in the closet.

Kovack admitted to police that he set up the iPhone to record the girl when he knew that she would be undressing in the closet. He regretted doing it and turned himself in.
