Tampa, FL (June 1, 2019) - A man from Tampa has been arrested on allegations that he possessed over 3,000 electronic files depicting child pornography.  

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence on Coco Verde Street on Thursday, May 31st, with a search warrant for a home occupied by 19-year-old Jean Angel Pozo-Napoles.  Deputies received a tip that Pozo-Napoles may have been in possession of illegal materials.  Once the warrant was executed, authorities made entry into the residence where they located the thousands of images and videos of pornography on electronic devices allegedly owned by Pozo-Napoles.

During an interview, Pozo-Napoles disclosed that he was the owner of the devices and the sole user.  He said he used the dark web to download the illegal images.  He was later arrested and charged with 100 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.  Pozo-Napoles was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail.
