NAPLES, COLLIER COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news report by NBC-2.com, a Naples man has been arrested for allegedly taking a jet ski, moving the jet ski outside of Collier County, and then trying to disguise the appearance of the jet ski. The 35-year-old man was traveling on Coral Wood Drive when he was pulled over Collier County Sheriff's deputies for an active warrant. The man's arrest warrant was issued in Lee County, Florida. The Collier County Sheriff's deputies also thought the truck the suspect was driving in appeared to be altered with spray paint as to disguise the motor vehicle. The Collier County Sheriff's deputies stated that the suspect had jet ski on a trailer connected to the truck during the traffic stop. The Collier County Sheriff's deputies saw a yellow jet ski appeared to have a fresh coat of black paint on the jetski's underside.

The suspect began to yell at Collier County Sheriff's deputies in protest of being pulled over by the Sherriff's deputies. One of the Collier County Sheriff's deputies needed to pull out his taser when the suspect began reaching for something within the suspect's truck. This was later reported to be a plastic baggy and a glass tube.

The Collier County Sheriff's deputies believed that the jet ski looked a lot like the description provided in a recent BOLO issued, according to the Collier County Sheriff's deputies. One of the responding deputies stated in the arrest report that the jet ski seemed to have a new set of registration numbers on the jet ski and the HIN looked altered. As the Collier County Sheriff's deputy rubbed aways some of the new black paint, the old HIN appeared. The old HIN was confirmed to be the matching HIN of the stolen jet ski from Collier County. The news report also states that the jet ski trailer seemed to be stolen since the registered owner of the trailer has a Miami address.

Naples woman arrested for stealing 'thousands of dollars' worth of designer purses

EAST NAPLES, FL – In another larceny new story in Naples, Florida, NBC-2.com reported that a Naples woman had been arrested for alleged grand theft. The woman allegedly stole designer handbags from an East Naples department store. The 44-yer-old woman was arrested and book on Tuesday. The suspect was charged with two separate larceny offenses at the Bealls store located off of U.S. 41 in East Naples, Florida, according to an arrest report from the Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives were able to track the suspect down after surveillance camera footage revealed that the woman placed one Louis Vuitton bag and two Gucci bags into a bag that she has placed at the bottom of her cart. The woman then walked out of the Bealls store. According to tot eh news report, the suspect did the very same thing earlier this month, the news report said. The woman is facing felony charges for cutting the anti-theft devices and grand theft between $750 – $5,000.
