Jacksonville, Florida – A New story posted on firstcoastnews.com states that the Jacksonville Sheriff's office is currently investigating and alleged carjacking that occurred on Cesery Boulevard last Wednesday morning.  According to one eyewitness to the crime, a woman was grabbed and pulled out of her car as the perpetrator violently stole the woman’s Lexis sedan. The carjacking occurred at the intersection of Cesery Boulevard and Arlington Expressway at approximately 10:30 in the morning.

According to Jacksonville police, an eyewitness to the carjacking followed the suspect as he sped away in the woman's white Lexus sedan, contacted the dispatch center, and provided updates to law enforcement. As the eyewitness continues to follow the suspect in the woman's car, the witness saw the suspect commit a hit and run accident at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and University Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The suspect then pulled into a Publix parking lot which was located at 5858 Atlantic Blvd. While the suspect was inside the Publix to do a little shopping, The Jacksonville place approach the suspect inside the Publix and made their arrest. The suspect then began to have health issues, and therefore, emergency medical responders were called to evaluate the suspect. Jacksonville police stated that the suspect was then taken to a local area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening medical illness. The suspect was then identified as a 30-year-old man.

Numerous witnesses came forward to assist the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office by providing eyewitness accounts. Jacksonville police officers at the scene stated that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office dispatch received several complaints about the suspect from residents at several apartment complexes stating that he could've been attempting to carjack a truck. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, there were several witnesses that provided information regarding that incident as well.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated that the suspect had been charged with carjacking and several traffic violations, including making an improper turn, leaving the scene of a crash, and driving without a license. 

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is currently investigating each of the crime scene incidents at this time.
