Marla Bruhn

Marla graduated from St. Thomas University in Miami and was admitted to the Florida bar in 1990. While at the University she was president of Phi Alpha Delta fraternity and a contributing member of the law school newspaper. After graduation she began her career at the Public Defenders office handling juvenile, misdemeanor and felony cases. Ms. Bruhn quickly learned that those who enter the criminal justice system need and deserve an advocate who will ensure their rights are protected.

The system can be a frightful and confusing experience and Ms. Bruhn will always listen and help you during this trying time. After serving at the PD’s office in 1996, Ms. Bruhn established a private practice and continued to litigate criminal cases as well as defending parents who were involved with the Child Welfare legal system. In addition to defense work, she advocated on behalf of foster children and was honored to receive Adoption Advocate of the year by the Children’s Home Society.
