Lakeland, FL (January 11, 2019) – An officer from the Florida Polytechnic Police Department resigned from his position after being arrested for sexual battery, extortion, and stalking. He was identified as 57-year-old Winfred Stocks Jr., who was arrested yesterday on these serious charges.

A victim came forward to speak with police, who was able to produce hundreds of text messages over the past six months. Stocks used violence to cause a personal injury to sexually batter the woman, as well as making malicious threats to her verbally and over the phone. He told her that if she didn’t have sex with him, he would share nude photos that he had of her. Harassment also took place over text messages.

At the time of his arrest, Stocks resigned from his officer position. He was charged with domestic aggravated stalking, sexual battery with threat or force, and many other serious and violent charges.
