Tampa, FL (May 6, 2019) – A man identified as 43-year-old Troy Roberts working in Tampa was arrested for traveling to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, according to arrest records.

Roberts told who he thought was a teenager that he was only 29 and that he would meet her so that he could perform oral sex on her. He also told her that she should “bring a girlfriend” so that he could perform oral sex on her as well.

Authorities were behind the messages posing as the girl the entire time. When they arrested Roberts, he admitted that he engaged in sexual chats with her, thinking that she was a 14-year-old girl. Roberts has since been arrested.

Authorities searched his vehicle and found several sex toys inside. He has since been charged with traveling to meet a minor, misrepresentation of age to seduce a child and many other related charges.
