NAPLES, FL – May 1, 2020 – According to an online news article published on NaplesNews.com, Collier County Sheriff's deputies arrested a third suspect in the home invasion robbery that occurred back in late April. The 30-year-old man was charged with aggravated battery using a deadly weapon and home invasion robbery, according to the Collier County Sheriff's Office. On April 23, 2020, the Collier County Sheriff's Office made two arrests in the case. The other two suspects are a 31-year-old male from Golden Gate, and a 27-year-old female, of East Naples. The other two defendants are charged with the same offenses as the recently apprehended suspect.

The victim told the Collier County Sheriff's deputies that on April 23, 2020, his house was broken into, he was attacked, beaten with a handgun and robbed the victim of cash hidden under his mattress. After robbing the victim, the victim stated that he was forcefully pulled from his house and was beaten once again with the handgun in the victim's front yard. One of the suspects fled the scene in a silver 2008 Toyota Yaris. The victim stated that the robbery occurred because one of the suspects saw him removed money from under his mattress the night before. The victim also stated to Collier County Sheriff's deputies investigating the crime that he knew the 30-year-old male suspect and provided investigators with a photograph of the suspect. The Collier County Sheriff's deputies were able to positively identify the suspect. Emergency medical response technicians treated the victim's injuries.

Collier County Sheriff's deputies found the suspect's vehicle, and the sheriff's deputies arrested two of the three suspects. All three of the suspects have been arrested, and the two male suspects were booked into the Naples Jail Center.

The Collier County Sheriff's deputies investigating the case arrested the last suspect in the crime after questioning the suspect at the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
