Lawyers for Tourists Arrested for a Crime in the State of Florida

Have you or a loved one been arrested while visiting the State of Florida?

Florida is a popular destination because of the state's famous beaches, theme parks, and recreation. When a tourist is arrested for a crime in the State of Florida, the criminal process can be highly complicated and challenging. Also, defending criminal charges when the defendant is from another state or another country can be very costly due to justice court hearings. For example, if a tourist from Texas is arrested for Driving Under the Influence of alcohol in the state of Florida, it can be expensive and difficult to travel back to Florida for court appearances. Also, court hearings can have a significant impact on your work schedule and your family time as you will need to spend time and money on travel, hotel rooms, food and other travel expenses.

One advantage to retaining Musca Law, if you or a loved one has been arrested and charged with a criminal matter in the State of Florida, is your Musca Law attorney can petition the court to waive your pre-trial court appearances. This alone could save you 1,000s of dollars in lost earnings and travel expenses. In some cases, Musca Law may be able to resolve your legal issue without our clients ever needing to return to the state of Florida. At Musca Law, our team of legal professionals fight hard to assist our foreign and out-of-state clients. Musca Law offers a free consultation with an experienced Musca Law attorney. What is Reciprocity?

As a way of ensuring that offenders are punished for criminal convictions, most states have "reciprocity" with the State of Florida. Reciprocity simply means that whatever punishment you receive in one state, the punishment will be enforced in the offenders' home state. For example, if an individual from Alabama is arrested, charged and convicted of Driving Under the Influence in the DUI in the state of Florida and the state of Florida suspends that individual's driver's license, that individual's license may also be suspended in Alabama. In some cases, the individual's home state could also add on additional punishments although the DUI charge was in another state's jurisdiction. Traffic tickets and DUI convictions may result in a lengthy suspension of an individual's driver's license. An experienced attorney from Musca Law may be able to assist you in retaining some of your driving privileges so you are able to work. Each case is unique due to the facts and circumstances of the case and so there are no guarantees that any attorney can protect your driving privileges.

It is important to understand that reciprocity can be applied in any type of criminal case and not only traffic-related offenses. In addition, Musca Law attorneys work hard to file and win pre-trial motions, motions to suppress, and motions to dismiss for our out-of-state clientele. The goal of Musca Law is to fight hard for the most favorable result for our clients. If our firm's attorneys are able to effectively defend and win a motion to suppress or a motion to dismiss, our client may not have to appear in every court appearance and/or our client may have their criminal case dismissed.

These are only a few of the many important reasons why it is essential that you speak with a qualified, and experienced attorney from Musca Law if you or a loved one is facing a criminal trial. Our phone lines are open 24/7 at (888) 484-5057 and the consultation is free.
