Clearwater, FL (June 26, 2019) – On Friday, June 21, Clearwater Police arrested the CEO of Children Solutions for engaging in sexual activity with a minor.

Larry Lawson has since been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, sheltering an unmarried minor, contributing to delinquency, and interference with custody.

According to police, Lawson brought a 16-year-old boy with him all the way from Pennsylvania to Clearwater, Florida. Lawson met the minor on social media and has been engaging in a relationship with him for two years.

Lawson told police that the boy was his cousin and then told police that the boy was his friend and a “traveling companion” as he went to Florida.

The mother of the 16-year-old found that her son was using Snapchat, which is when she found that he was staying at a hotel on Clearwater Beach with Lawson. The minor’s mother immediately called the police.

When the staff found the two, they told police that the pair acted strangely. The teen told police that he and Lawson romantically kissed but told police that their relationship was not sexual in nature.

Detectives have since reported that Lawson stayed in the room with the victim and the two masturbated with one another. The teen admitted that the act took place three times on the way from Pennsylvania to Florida.

A new CEO is taking over at Children Solutions and the investigation into the incident continues.
