According to an article in the Orlando Sentinel, in early 2012, a 36-year-old Florida man died in what first appeared to be a fatal car crash. Upon further investigation by police, and after witnesses claimed there seemed to be more to this accident, it was revealed that what killed the man wasn't his overturned car, but shrapnel from an explosion that occurred inside the vehicle during a mobile meth-making session.

The driver of the car was killed when his passenger was mixing the chemicals in a glass bottle, when the bottle exploded and glass from the bottle lodged in the man's neck, causing his car to overturn and crash. The passenger ran from the scene of the crime, but was later caught by police.
