Indian River County, FL (December 28, 2018) – An Indian River County girl accused a Key West man of molesting her when he was babysitting and several other times. According to police, the girl called the man “Grandpa.”

59-year-old David Parker was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation by an adult of a victim under 12 years old. He backed up the accusations when he was being interviewed by police.

The girl was identified as a young female in elementary school, who called the man “Grandpa” and told investigators that he has done weird things to her body and made her do weird things to his. Parker confessed to two of the incidents.

Allegedly, the first two incidents took place over the summer while Parker had been babysitting the girl and her siblings. Parker forced the girl to touch him in the home and while they were driving around.

Parker spoke with police and said that he knew what he did was wrong and that he felt guilty, but he still attempted to put the blame on the girl because he felt that what they did together was “keeping her happy.”
