Naples, FL (May 7, 2019) – 51-year-old Jose Amaya has been arrested after picking up a teenage girl and holding her overnight, sexually battering her.

The incident took place on Monday night when Amaya picked up the teen from her home and took her to JD Auto Repair, where he lived and worked. Amaya knew the girl because he did auto repairs for her family multiple times.

The victim was allegedly from out of the country and came to the U.S. to live with her father. However, soon after their arrival, her father died in an accident and she began living with a woman in Golden Gate. The teen told Amaya that she would clean his office for some work that he exchanged her family.

After the teenager cleaned his office, Amaya refused to take her home. Amaya secured the exterior of the building and the victim believed that she was being held against her will. Amaya left the building and took the girl’s cell phone with him.

Once Amaya returned home, he entered the office and told the victim to sit on a couch inside the office. Amaya then touched the victim’s genitals with his hands and mouth. When the victim asked him to stop, he ignored her.

In the morning when Amaya left to get coffee, the victim used her cell phone to call 911 and was able to find a way to exit the building where she met with deputies.

Amaya has since been arrested and gave a partial confession to some of the mentioned incidents. He has since been charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.

The investigation into the incident continues.
