Okaloosa County, FL (November 13, 2018) – In Okaloosa County, a Florida woman is now facing DWI charges after driving under the influence of alcohol with an unbuckled child inside her vehicle.

The woman has since been identified as Felicia Freeman of Baker, Florida. She had been driving her pickup truck over the weekend on Airport Road and nearly struck a sheriff official’s vehicle head-on, which forced him from the roadway. He pulled Freeman over and smelled alcohol on her breath. She was arrested for DUI and blew almost twice the legal limit.

There were two children found inside the vehicle, including a 7-year-old. The child was riding on a folding lawn chair next to the driver’s seat and was not buckled in in any way.

Freeman has also been charged with child neglect.
