St. Johns County, FL (November 12, 2018) – A woman and man restrained and robbed another man during a burglary in St. Johns County. The two attacked the man after meeting him at his home. The man had previously invited the woman over after meeting her on Tinder. The man was only identified as an individual from Ponte Vedra and was using the online dating app to meet 20-year-old Lexis Tripplett at his home for a date. He used the restroom after she came over and came back to find another man in his home. The man was identified as 26-year-old Michael Wheeler. Wheeler stood outside the bathroom door and pointed a gun at him. The two suspects then tied up the victim and started stealing from his home. They then left the scene but were quickly pursued by police The suspects were traced in their vehicle to a park in Fruit Cove. The police chased the two suspects after they fled and pinned their vehicle to a tree to end the pursuit. The two were arrested and remain in jail at this time.
