PORT CHARLOTTE, FL - According to an online news report by WinkNews.com, a 36-year-old man from Port Charlotte, Florida, has been arrested and is charged with 6 counts of sexual battery on a minor. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the suspect is accused of sexually assaulting the victim in his house for several years. Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies questioned the suspect about the sexual assault accusations at an Applebee's restaurant where the suspect was working prior to the Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies arresting the man. The suspect has a bail bond set at $50,000 per charge.

Naked Man at Englewood Hotel Tells Charlotte County Deputies He is Batman

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL - According to an online news report from WinkNews.com, a man was arrested at an Englewood hotel after the man allegedly walked around the hotel property naked. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the deputies were called out to the Suncoast Inn located off of South McCall Road. The hotel manager stated that a naked man attempted to gain access to his room.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office located the naked suspect who was seated at a table located outside of the hotel. The Sheriff's deputies asked the 49-year-old man for his name, and the suspect told the Sheriff's deputies that he was "Batman." The suspect told the Sheriff's deputies that he was staying at the hotel and accidentally locked himself out of his hotel room. However, the hotel manager told the suspect and the Sheriff's deputies that the man was not a guest of the hotel.

Surveillance camera footage recorded the suspect walking around the hotel, and the suspect attempted to enter into several hotel rooms. The Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies search of the suspect's clothes and found a glass pipe, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. The suspect was arrested for loitering, prowling, and indecent exposure and loitering and prowling. The man could face other charges. The suspect was also wanted on a previous Sarasota County warrant due to a pending larceny charge. The suspect is awaiting his next hearing and is booked in the Charlotte County Jail.

Charlotte County High School Teach Accused of Sexual Battery on a 17-Year-Old Student

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL - A Charlotte High School teacher was arrested for alleged sexual battery of a 17-year-old student back in 2017. According to police, the alleged crime took place at Charlotte High School. The news report states that the suspect had an encounter of a sexual nature with at least one student inside his classroom at Charlotte High School. The suspect turned himself into police and was booked into the Charlotte County Jail. The suspect is charged with sexual battery on a minor.

Police investigators state that a second victim did not want to file charges and that offices believe there is a third victim.

The suspect bailed out of jail on a $150,000 bond.
