MIAIM-DADE, FLORIDA - A news report posted on local10.com reports that two men were and are charged with first-degree murder charges.  The fatal shooting involved a Florida International University honor student.

The victim, a 21-year-old man, was tragically shot to death on December 2, 2016, in a parking garage connected to the Fourth Street Commons apartments in Sweetwater, Florida.  Neighbors described the victim as kind and courteous.

The office of Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle verified that a 25-year-old man from Pinellas Park and a St. Petersburg man was arrested in Pinellas County, Florida, in connection with the homicide.  One of the suspects is the brother of an Atlanta Falcons defensive end.

The victim, a 21-year-ol man, was killed inside a parking garage near FIU.
According to State Prosecutors, the two suspects were attending school in Miami-Dade County.

Prosecutors stated that investigators discovered cash spread around the victim's body at the murder scene.  They also discovered a loaded Glock magazine beside the victim's body and a pistol inside of his coat's pocket.

A substantial amount of blood covered the crime scene, which a motor vehicle drove through and left a clear tire impression.  Police combed the car, and they found Ziploc bags containing presumed marijuana and a small bag of speculated cocaine.

Prosecutors did not verify whether the victim's murder was a drug sale gone wrong, but stated the additional evidence that was collected after the murder is what led them to charge the two suspects with murder.
