Last summer's multi-state crime spree was brought to an end for the Dougherty siblings when they were apprehended in Colorado after shooting at a police officer, robbing a bank, and outrunning authorities in various states, according to the Sun-Sentinel. The three siblings, two brothers, and one sister, all pleaded guilty to reduced charges as part of a deal with prosecutors. One of the brothers faces up to 20 years in prison, while his brother faces up to 32 years and his sister up to 28 years.

All three siblings are in their 20s and from the Orlando area of Florida. The sister was raised in Seminole County, worked as an exotic dancer in Cocoa Beach, and lived on Merritt Island. The youngest brother and sibling, at 21-years-old, is a registered sex offender in Florida after being convicted for sending sexually explicit text messages to an 11-year-old girl in Volusia County.

He violated his probation and was facing up to 15 years in Florida prison when the siblings decided to go on the run with food, clothes, guns, and 2,000 rounds of ammunition with the intention to make it to Mexico before being caught. Amongst the many crimes committed throughout the U.S., the siblings shot at police in Florida, robbed a bank in Georgia, and were involved in a police chase and shootout in Colorado.
