Bradenton, FL (November 18, 2018) – The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide that took place on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

Based on the initial reports, deputies responded to a call about a shooting along the 2900 block of 17th Street East in the city area. After arriving to investigate, officers found one deceased victim at the location. The person who was fatally injured is described as a black male.  No other details about his identity have been released.

According to witness reports, several individuals heard gunfire and watched a car swerve into a ditch. At one point, the witnesses also saw a black man exit the car and attempt to flee. After a thorough search, police deputies were unable to locate this suspect.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
