Fort Pierce, FL (December 31, 2018) – In Fort Pierce, a police officer was arrested and placed on administrative leave after he was arrested on DUI charges when he wrecked his motorcycle.

The officer, identified as 23-year-old Officer Steven Schroeder, was arrested following an incident where he was driving his motorcycle off-duty around 1:50 a.m. in the morning and suddenly crashed at the intersection of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard.

When investigators arrested Schroeder, they claimed that his blood-alcohol limit was nearly three times the legal limit.

Schroeder has been a police officer with the department since February 2017. He has been arrested for DUI charges.
