A Florida DUI charge is a serious event in your life. DUI charges can cause large increases in your insurance premiums and may result in the suspension of your driver's license. Further, you can be ordered to submit to alcohol classes and may even face jail time depending on the circumstances of your case. If the DUI is your second or third offense, the penalties will likely be harsher and could include mandatory time in jail.
When you are charged with a DUI, an experienced Florida DUI attorney can help ensure that your rights are protected. Officers must act properly at all stages of the DUI investigation process. This includes a reasonable suspicion to stop your vehicle, probable cause to arrest you for DUI and also ensuring that all procedures are followed with regard to the administration of sobriety testing.
