Key West, FL (May 20, 2019) – On Saturday, a woman was arrested outside of a strip club after she hurled a coconut at a man outside of a Key West strip club who had allegedly been recording her.

The 36-year-old, identified as Shonta Latasha Bolds, was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The altercation occurred around 2 a.m. in the morning out of an establishment known as the VIP Gentleman’s Club on Duval Street.

The suspect told police that she threw the coconut but claimed that she never struck the man with it. She also told police that the man had been filming her while she was sitting on the porch. Police officers asked the victim if he did something that caused her to throw the coconut and he did not answer.

The suspect and others said that when the victim walked by the porch, he had said “ladies” to them. Police are still investigating the incident.
