Lakeland, FL (March 15, 2019) – 61-year-old Brian Birky was arrested in early March for child pornography possession and police have confirmed he was just arrested again. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested him for an additional 300 counts of possession of child pornography.
Deputies initially received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and made their initial arrest on March 7th after they discovered images of children aged 2 to 11 in sexually lewd poses and engaging in sexual acts on Birky’s computer.
Deputies took a closer look at his hard drive this past week and found 300 additional explicit images featuring children between 18 months to 11 years old. Authorities said that, due to the number of images they found, the additional charges will be second-degree felonies.
The arrest happened Thursday. Police described the images on the computer as “indescribable.”
