Melbourne, FL (December 28, 2018) – Police say that a 30-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning after he punched a woman driver and then fled the scene. The incident took place in the 900 block of Wickham Road.

Police have identified the man as Steven S. Jackson, who punched a female driver in her vehicle around 8:11 a.m. yesterday. Police arrived, which was when Jackson fled the scene and ran through the back of many private properties to avoid officers. Officers finally caught up to and arrested Jackson where he had stolen an item in a private property.

Jackson has since been charged with battery domestic violence, resisting arrest, burglary, and many other charges. Residents in several blocks helped police nab the suspect.
