Miami Beach, FL (December 10, 2018) – Late Saturday, a Miami Beach man was arrested after he stabbed his roommate to death. He has since been identified as 29-year-old Jose Derose, who was arrested for first-degree murder.

Officers were called to the scene of the 7300 block of Wayne Avenue around 10 p.m.  Officers found 55-year-old Daniel Rodolico unresponsive in apartment number 415.  He had been stabbed repeatedly in his upper body, neck, back and in his arms. Neighbors indicated that the relationship between the two men was that of father and son.  They say that Rodolico had adopted Derose at some point.  Derose is said to be diagnosed as a having schizophrenia and recently changed his medications.  

Allegedly, the two men were involved in an argument with one another, which was when Derose stabbed Rodolico with a kitchen knife multiple times. A woman inside the building said that Rodolico was a great person who would have done anything for anyone. Rodolico was serving on the apartment building’s board of directors.
