St. Petersburg, FL (November 12, 2018) – A 29-year-old man was arrested for second-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman who was struck by a stray bullet. The incident took place in St. Petersburg on Sunday morning, November 11. The man who was arrested was identified as Jamel Walker, who is now facing charges in the murder of 38-year-old Aesha Kendrick. At the time of the inciden, Kendrick had been sitting on her porch at 45th Street South in the Twin Brooks neighborhood. A man shot at a truck that was passing by, which is when the bullet went straight to Kendrick. Kendrick was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead while there. Several children and other adults were in the home at the time but nobody else was hurt. Walker is also facing a charge of attempted murder for shooting at the vehicle and is being held in the Pinellas County Jail.
