West Palm Beach, FL (February 21, 2019) - On Tuesday of this week, a man identified as 21-year-old Jabari Scott was arrested on five counts of attempted murder after three shootings.
Scott has since spoken with police about the incident and said that he fired his weapon in self-defense because he feared for his life. However, Scott is now being held without bail on attempted murder charges.
The incident in question happened in December when investigators say that a home with seven people inside, two of whom were children, was shot into when somebody was attempting to shoot at an outside vehicle. Police never confirmed whether or not anyone was injured in the gunfire.
Later that day, Scott allegedly targeted another person when he was traveling to pick up his cousin to see a basketball game with him. Scott met up with his cousin when he suddenly saw somebody with a weapon in a white Corvette who began shooting at them. The victims crashed their vehicle but they were able to get to safety.
Investigators found out the same weapons were used in all of the related incidents. They found DNA evidence on the guns linked to Scott and he has since been arrested.
