Clearwater, FL (May 16, 2019) – On Thursday, police arrested 18-year-old Zena Issari, an employee at Checkers who used customer’s credit cards to make purchases.

Issari has since been charged by police with using or obtaining a debit card to steal the information of multiple customers through fraudulent use of personal ID information.

Police say that Issari used a customer’s card to make a $100 charge on CashApp while the victim was purchasing food at Checkers. Issari ran the card for her own purposes before she ran the card for the victim’s purchases, according to police.

When police viewed surveillance videos, they saw Issari using her phone to take the victim’s information. Issari confessed to police but told them that she stole the information for another party to use, and not herself.

Issari also allegedly stole information from other customers. It is unclear how many individuals could have fallen victim to this scam at this time.
