Daytona Beach, FL (November 16, 2018) – Police say that a pregnant woman is facing fraud charges after she collected thousands of dollars from two couples after she told them that she would adopt her baby out to them.

The woman has been identified as 33-year-old Christina Bay, who was picked up on a warrant on Wednesday, November 14. This is Bay’s eleventh criminal felony that she has received in many years.

Police became aware of the scheme when they heard from an adoption attorney, who told them that Bay had promised a baby to the clients. Bay even signed a contract agreeing to adopt the baby out to the clients and collected thousands of dollars from them so that she could cover her living expenses at that time.

Attorneys involved in the case tried to get ahold of Bay so that they could speak with her about the dispute but they were unfortunately unable to do so. She was arrested this week on adoption deception and an organized scheme of fraud.
