Orange County, FL (November 13, 2018) – Police say that a man was charged with battery and disturbing the peace after cursing at and making obscene gestures toward Disney staff members. The members were trying to get him to pay his $22.64 bar tab at the time.

67-year-old Stephen Ryder was arrested on Sunday on these various charges at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at North World Drive.

Police were called to the scene around 4 p.m. when they discovered that there was a disorderly guest. The entire incident took place because Ryder refused to pay his tab at the hotel’s bar. The bar manager confronted Ryder, which is when he ignored the manager and walked away from the bar to the bus stop outside. While sitting at the bus stop, Ryder yelled at the security guards.

Ryder purposely pushed one of the security guards before he balled up his fist and threatened to fight him. Ryder is now being held in jail on a $1,500 bond.
